Here Come the Conks!

Its great seeing your photography in print, its possibly one of the best things about the job. So how honoured was I (very much indeed) when Bimingham alt-rock four-piece the Conquistadors asked me to shoot the cover for their new EP "On Tape" released this Saturday 14th May through Godmonkey Recordings

The cover consists of a beautifully detailed model theatre complete with a steampunk spaceship, miniature band members, stage scenery all finished off with gilded theatre boxes, and an orchestra pit. All lovingly and painstakingly crafted by the incredibly talented Alex Wisley

The EP has had already received rave reviews from music press and bloggers alike and that’s before the Conks’ throng of fans get their teeth into this audacious and genre-defying EP.

The band’s EP launch takes place this Saturday 14th May at the Flapper, Kingston Row Birmingham along with Shapes and special guests. I’ll be down there snapping away, hopefully see you there!

The Smiths (..no not the ones with Morrissey)

Here's a recent shoot at home portrait session (yes I DO do them) I did with family. So nice doing portraiture outside for a change. Thanks to the kids for being so patient despite illness (pre-teenage blues is an illness, right?) and a huge special thanks to Elaine, Phillip, Alison and Diane who made me feel very welcome in Bidford. Really hope they're chuffed with the images.

More of my at home family portraiture (and some previous studio stuff) can be seen here:

Also, if you know anyone who might be interested in some pretty photos done in the comfort of their own home then please feel free to pass on my details (eternal gratitude is just as good as money, right?) or drop me an email
